Casual Friday: An Oldie But A Goodie

TGIF all!

Now that I’m committed to shopping my closet, I find it easier to stave off urges to purchase new clothes.  By concentrating on what I already have, I’m finding a lot of clothing I’ve rarely worn.  These printed pants from Eloquii are a prime example of this. When I saw these pants two years ago I HAD to have them.  While I absolutely love these pants, I never really got around to wearing them because I continued to buy more stuff (I know, bad Georgette!). It’s a shame because these pants look great on me!   Shopping my closet is  teaching me to be  content with what I have and being okay with not having all the latest trends in my wardrobe. Now when I get ready in the morning, I say “I DO have something to wear!”

All this remixing has got me thinking about a challenge.  Maybe a 7×7 to start off? Hmmm…what do you think? Would you be interested in joining me?

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. I’m in for a 7×7 challenge Ms. G! Let ‘er rip! Lovely outfit btw – those pants! Thos are definitely a year round purchase – I can see those in the winter with boots and your leather jacket. You ALWAYS kill it!

  2. You look Great and those pants are such a good fit. Shopping the closet is fun and now you can remix it and style in so many ways. Looking forward to more. . .

  3. Hey, Georgette! Now that you are “shopping your closet” I’d love to see a photo of your closet, and you shopping it! If you don’t already do so, a great way to organise it is in colour, so that way you can pick colours that go together. Also I used to arrange styles together (i.e. long skirts together, short skirts together, etc). As always, I just LOVE what you have put together for today’s photo shoot. xo

  4. Hi there,
I usually don’t leave comments but I thought this was special because I cleaned and reorganized my closet earlier this evening. And after looking at all of my clothes and accessories I realized I could hold off on the shopping. Anyway I thought it was kinda cool that I stumble upon this site and other women were on the same wave length. I do like the outfit you put together, the print and colors are fresh. I do have a question, what is all this talk about 7×7 challenge? What does it mean?
    Thanks,
    Rafunzel

  5. I am so in need of help with my wardrobe. It’s been so long since I’ve paid attention. I found you and have hope for my summer!!
